The moment your core temperature climbs, your sebaceous glands accelerate oil production, your sweat glands push saline and electrolytes through your skin, and that delicate emulsion starts to break.

Water-soluble pigments lift. Oil-based formulas slide on the natural lipids leaving your pores. SPF — which often relies on film-forming polymers to stay in place — fractures as your skin stretches and flexes. The result: streaking, transfer, patchiness, and the dreaded mid-workout reapplication.
